A sparkling hat-trick by Faizal Saari helps Tenaga to 3-0 victory over YNS in MHL Premier Division
A sensational hat-trick from the national striker, Faizal Saari, led Tenaga Nasional to a brilliant victory as they defeated Yayasan Negeri Sembilan (YNS) 3-0 in their third match in the Premier Division of the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) played at the
National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday, September 23.
Lailin Abu Hassan, Tenaga’s coach however, was not convinced with the victory.
"My team did not play well but what matters is the three points. We need to improve on our final passes," Lailin Abu Hassan, the coach of the Tenaga Nasional, stated about the performance of the team.
The match was a complete show by the national young striker, Faizal Saari, who played astonishingly well throughout the entire seventy minutes by making a triple strike. Tenaga Nasional dominated their opponents throughout the match where they showed clinical
efforts in their attack as well as in their defence. They managed to score two goals in the first thirty five minutes while one in the second part of the game.
The match started with some early action by Tenaga Nasional when they were awarded a penalty corner in the 10th minute which subsequently resulted in a penalty stroke as Amin Rahim’s shot found the foot of YNS defender. Faizal Saari made no mistake
