  1. just look up the kinematics equations

    d = vit + .5at^2

    d= 12m/s(10s) + (0.5)(9.8m/s^2)(100s^2) = 120 m + 490m =610m

  2. Given:

    Vi = 12 m/s

    g = 9.8 m/s^2

    t = 10 s

    Find:

    d = distance the stone traveled in 10 s

    Solution:

    d = Vi(t) + (1/2)(g)(t^2)

    d = (12 m/s)(10 s) + (1/2)(9.8 m/s^2)(10 s)^2

    d = 610 m     ANSWER

    Hope this helps.

  3. S=ut+1/2gt^2  S=12*10+1/2*10*10^2   S=120+0.5*10*100

    S=120+500

    S=620m

  4. 12m/s times 10s. The two s cancel eachother out (12m *10s)/s. so it becomes 12m*10 = 120m
