A strange dream including a river, highway and a bridge?

Question

well i had this strange dream where i saw my friend. but he was far away on the other side of the highway. for some reason i didn't just walk over. but instead i went up a ladder and walked/crawled through a very narrow bridge. ad it had no railings either. after i got to the end of a bridge there was a river i had to cross. but i couldn't gather the courage to jump to the other side. i couldve jumped and caught on to a railing and lifted myself up. but for the rest of the time i just thought about what i could do....and i woke up. i didn't jump.

there were alot of people around me and everyone was encouraging me to go. even my friend. but i stood there doing nothing.

also i say "friend" because i never met the person. i've seen him in my dreams before. i had one dream similar to this. but i'm not sure who he is.

i've had this dream maybe once or twice in the past. the first time i managed to tlak to him and be next to him and stuff. because i drove through the highway. but this time i didnt...

It could possibly be Jesus.

He was on the other side of the road.

river means spirit, or Holy Spirit.

everyone around was encouraging you to go, even the friend.

You've seen him in your dreams before, but don't know who he is.

Jesus and God do appear to people in their dreams.

think about it, and see if it fits.  sounds like an invitation.

Could it be that  there is something major in your life which you want to accomplish?  You know it will be difficult to achieve.  (Going up the ladder and through a narrow bridge to get to the highway to take you where you want or need to go).

You are afraid to try because you fear you may fail.  You need  courage and faith to take that leap.

I'm not sure about what the people around you might mean.

Also, it could relate to the chore of being religious.  It takes more of your time and life than you want to invest in it.

A river of life is mentioned in the book of Revelation.

if you are spirtual i would think that your freind  and those people were trying to get you to make  the right decision to come across and do the right thing and have the courage  and the faith to come to the Lord. that guy can be angel looking over you and trying to lead you the right way. and when you stood there doing nothing, maybe the  Lord is trying to tell you, how long are you going to stand there and do nothing? get up and believe in me. Come to me now!
