I already have one capital one card and would like to open another line of credit to improve my credit score. I dont want to be applying too much as to not hurt my credit score, so i would like to know if anyone knows of a card that will approve me. I have had my capital one card for almost 4 months, and I pay the entire balance each month. I have been told that it takes 6 months of having credit to have a credit score at all. I also have a few inquiries on my report because i didnt know they were bad.

  1. Chase generally approves a high ratio of applicants, however, be advised that you may not necessarily get approved for a very generous credit limit right off the bat.  You may want to check out a good credit card comparison website that shows what kind of credit you need to be approved for particular cards.  Cardsense.net is a good one.

  2. Discover Student Credit Card.  If your a student you will get approved.  Theres no annual fee, low aprs, and a great rewards program.  Plus, they make sure you dont ruin your credit.  Check out applyfastbankcards they pay people to apply online.

  3. another one will not help your score that much == i  would rather you just keep the one in very good standing!!!  two might be a little tempting!!!

  4. Bank of America. They will approve you for either (student or not).

  5. I work with the credit card companies and Citi Bank tends to approve a lot of students with their mtvU card. The main reason is that it doesn't require a minimum income.
