Students would have less contact with material. For a particular course their grades may not suffer, but for the general scope of knowledge in the field and for advanced learning, their marks would suffer, but more important their knowledge level would suffer. If teachers don't have the time to practice different teaching & learning methods, go in-depth with the material, and teach outside of the "standardized test curriculum" then students' knowledge and grades will suffer. Internationally, we're already suffering considering the economic power and resources our country has to offer.
