  1. Ask them why they want it and wait for them to give you the answer. I would not give them your social Security number because they could steal your identity. No agent will ever ask you for your social Security number. It is a scam do not do it for your safety.

  2. seek the lord for your answer

  3. With no offense to you or any who answer, I agree that agencies and agents are like back street used car salesmen to me.

The Issue young lady is essentially a method of eventually RECORDING ANY taxable INCOME and if you are so lucky at age 70, to be able to apply for SS, monthly benefit checks.

Do I like the fact that OUR government is as close to implanting tracking chips in our heads? NO, not at all, but it is a fact that even the young get SS #'s, and it is a means to track your income, and status for the next 60 years. It is also a way for any employer to verify YOUR legitimacy.

It also relates to p****y, changes of ID in theft of SS #'s, names, falsified records, etc.

Trust NO ONE BUT YOU, but question EVERYONE about the WHY of EVERYTHING.

Just my 2 "Scents" (no I didn't misspell it)

  4. Agencies need your SS# so they can PAY you!! Legit agencies WILL most defintiely ask for it because they only get paid when you get paid and if they don't have your SS, you can't get paid.

However, you only need to give it to them once you sign with them and of course, be careful. Take along a parent to the interview and if it seems fishy, don't do it. Also, if it's online, don't do it.

Just asking for a SS# is not a cause for alarm, it's everything else.

Ignore some of the other anwers, because they do not not know what they are talking about! They should research more on the topic before answering.

  5. DON"T GIVE IT TO THEM! It's a scam!

  6. LOL to all these answers. Agencies need your SS# so they can PAY you!! Legit agencies WILL most defintiely ask for it because they only get paid when you get paid and if they don't have your SS, you can't get paid.

  7. ask them why they need it. and you ALWAYS have the right to say no to giving your ss# and that should not deter them from hiring you if it does they are a scam

  8. if a talent agency wants your ss number it most likely is a scam i wouldnt give it if i were you but of course its your chocie.

  9. 99% of Talent Agencies are just scams to get your money.  Did you seek them out or did they seek you?  If they spotted you somewhere and asked you to join because you "have what it takes" it is most likely a scam.  Don't give it to them!
