I have to say the Dallas Mavericks. As a Warrior fan, I don't really like Dallas...but come on now. 2 years ago, this was a title contending champion. They got there, but lost. The year after, they were defenitely looked as one of the teams to win the title, but lost in the first round against the Warriors. Now, they still have a good veteran team but they're not building around Nowitzki enough. They aren't aiming for another all-star to try to add to the team and maybe contend again. They're a mess.

So who do you think is showing signs of giving up?

Suns are defenitely up there with Mavericks to me

  1. mavs giving cause they got an old kidd who doesnt really fit in.

nets who arent doing much at all for the past few years. they were in the finals 2 consecutive times then just lost it.

maybe pistons by getting kwame brown for 4 mil a year.

memphis by giving away mike miller and kevin love for just

mayo AND by giving away gasol for kwame brown. (maybe memphis is worse but the mavs go in a close second =p)

  2. Suns aren't giving up man, don't you think if they were giving up they would have done it a long time ago I mean this team has seen losing it doesn't phase them. They will be back next year to try to win that title, mark my words. The Mavs on the other hand I can see giving up and the Pistons too ( I love the Pistons but I saw how last year nearly killed them when they got beat out by the Lebron and I think this year finished them off when the Celtics killed 'em).

  3. Yeah, I think the Suns, Spurs, and Mavs are all on the brink of being replaced as Western Conference  powers.  It kind of reminds me of what happened to the Kings, when they started slipping down the standings.  The Suns have a young Stoudamire, so they might be able to hang around and keep it going.  The Spurs are getting older, but still have a little bit of youth to keep them competitive.  But, I think you are right about the Mavs.  The writing is on  the wall.  They made a mistake by giving up Devin Harris in the Kidd trade.  They lost their coach.  Josh Howard's stay in Dallas seems a little tenuous with lingering rumors about his departure.  And Dirk is a good player, but he is soft.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if they decided to trade him and get some young prospects to build the team around.  So yeah, Dallas.

  4. Well its not the Suns because they are clearly better than the Mavs, and you are right the Mavs had their chances but they just didn't get it done. Mavs will probably be rebuilding pretty soon.

  5. Denver Nuggets : Could of got Artest for basically nothing (yet they didn't pull the trigger cause of klieza), then they traded Camby for basically nothing...Atleast Mavericks made a move, by getting Kidd

  6. yep both of them. some may say my team (the nuggets) but w/ me and AI, were still just to good.

    P.S. Nowitzki is overrated!!!!!!!!!!!
