A ton of dead fish at Lake Pahoja is it okay to still swim in it?

I was recently at Lake Pahoja and while i was swimming there was a lot of Algae in the water. Later that evening i was walking around on the shore and saw many dead fish floating the water. Everywhere i went by water there were dead fish! I was just wondering why all the fish were dying??? and another question is was it okay to swim in? thanks.

lake pahoja is just a gross lake. it looks green.. blah & besides..people pry fish and throw fish back andthey die.
