  1. 1 - 30 miles @ 30 mph

    2 - + 30 miles @ 30 mph

The average will be 60 miles @ 30 mph in 2 hours!

  2. 30

  3. 30mph..

since half the time its going 30 and the other half it has to be 30mph because you take both mps add them divide by two and it gets the average of 30..

  4. 30 mph

  5. 60 miles in 2 hours, train would have to be traveling 30 mph for the entire distance. Answer is 30 mph.

  6. It is an old "trick" question, but you misstated it.  It is only trick if a time component is given, as in a train covers X miles in X amount of time.

So, this question has an answer, which is 30 MPH.

  7. All the Time has been used.. can't be done.
