Ideal Man

There is magic in his eyes

And music in his heart

His mind will brook no lies

His soul is rich in art.

He dances as he walks

Laughs so you can join

Shows interest when he talks

Trades with no base coin.

At work he's diligent

Quick to promote others

In all ways tolerant

Treats all men as brothers.

He listens, nor hastening

To fill the silence

Children and animals hearkening

Easily grant him the same audience.

He'll share another's sorrows

Easily lends, but seldom borrows

Careful of the day

He's swift to repay.

Tho' women are drawn to him

He's faithful to but one

His passion's not a whim

No trespass will be done.

  1. Good choice of words, clear and precise except for::

'trades with no base coin' and 'hearkening'(archaic?).

A tribute with simple and easily-understood expressions would ensure uninterrupted and more complete appreciation - brings on deeper emotions. A  well-composed one.
