A tribute to Elaine. Is it fitting?

"Martian Celebration" - rondel

I raise a toast to our Elaine,

our writer friend and poet dear,

whose words have all the power to cheer,

and help us higher peaks attain.

I toast her struggles and her strain,

her editing do I revere.

I raise a toast to our Elaine,

I buy a round of fine champagne,

and call out cheerfully "Hear Hear!

Hail the queen of the Mars frontier,

and may her poetry not wane!"

It's a very fitting tribute to a wonderful lady and fellow poet who has been working very hard by editing her heart out.  I also agree that we should pay tribute to the living so they know how much we care for and appreciate them.  So, in the spirit of this poem I just like to say: Elaine...YOU ROCK  and your hard work is very much appreciated :)

The best teachers are the ones who suggest rather than be dogmatic; they inspire their students with the desire to teach themselves. Elaine does this consistently.

It is a nice tribute, this poem, but I don't see her as a queen... I see her more like Anna in "Anna and the King of Siam by Margaret Landon."
