AS Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux and Olympique de Marseille are keen on signing the Caen star but it still remains to be seen where the player will land this summer
Stade Malherbe de Caen have already lost the services of Frederic Bulot who will be playing for Belgian Jupiler League giants Standard Liege. And, it now appears that Romain Hamouma will also be leaving the side from Normandy.
The youngster has been linked with move to Lille, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Saint-Etienne and Marseille. However, the player is still in Normandy.
Le Progress claims that Hamouma is more inclined towards making a move to AS Saint-Etienne. However, Les Verts are not going to take action as long as they don’t get a good output for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bakary-Sako-c7217 who has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A giants
AC Milan.
Today, the resident of Laval was touted for a possible move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 according to Le Provence. Reports claim that the player’s entourage is willing to negotiate terms with the Rhone side. However, contacts would be careful and slow as Les
Phoceens need to sell before they can buy thanks to their financial woes.
The same goes for FC Girondins de Bordeaux who need to sell before they sign a player. While talking to 20 Minutes, Hamouma’s agent said that Bordeaux need to sell a player if they want to sign his client.
“As long as the Bordelais do not sell, they cannot buy. It’s that simple.”
This means that Hamouma will be forced to wait until the transfer market gathers some pace. Moreover, Caen are not going to let go of their star player for peanuts. Reports claim that the Normandians want at least 4 million euros for the 25-year-old which
these days, is an amount Bordeaux and OM cannot really pay instantly.
However, the same cannot be said for AS Saint-Etienne who were very active in the transfer market last summer. Romain Hamouma is desperate to return to Ligue 1 football for next season.
Hamouma joined Caen from Laval in 2010 and in 69 appearances, scored 13 goals. The player’s departure would be a huge blow for Caen who look towards tough times in Ligue 2 from next season.
