  1. Well, I'm going to Japan soon! I've never been, but try googling/checking YouTube on people who've been. They usually post blogs and vlogs that may come to be very helpful (I find them to be!)

As for my advice, bring as much money as you can!! For a week-long trip to Tokyo Japan for 1-2 people, can cost anywhere from $4,000-$10,000 total (including airfare, hotel, food, etc.). So make sure you've saved up!

Remember that you can't bring large liquids on an airplane when traveling- so (as long as you like their food) purchase all consumption materials there, also get your bath scrubs and shampoos there too. I'd bring clothes, camera, bathing suit, etc.... same thing as what you'd bring anywhere else!

As for the language, I speak Japanese myself so that hasn't appeared a problem to me. But I would learn some basics before arriving, just so you can get around. But there are Japanese people who speak English (although not always very well!) Here's a site to help you learn:

    Good luck, and have fun!!

  2. whew!.

hi,.we have the same thinking and i'm just 12 too..going 13 this month..

i've also wanted to go to Japan for some reasons. My friend that is living in Japan said that we, foreigners must learn their traditions or culture like removing the shoes when going inside the house, must learn basic phrases in Japanese and you need to bring about $20000 if you really want to have fun and spend it happily there.for you to know more info chat with some japanese people in the ym(yahoo messenger) go to the room of Japanese,.if you want learn their way of writing, maybe you'll use that in the custom's area in the airport.you need to bring camera with lots of film, i'm sure you'll great things there, and may regret if you havent photographed it.then if you want to ride in railway or trains get a railway pass in your home country to avoid spending lots of money.just be careful when you're in Osaka, coz i heard that, that was the place where there are many crimes, and has the title of the highest crime rate in the world, there are many yakuzas there, but i dunno if its true.bring a large bag if you're shopping there maybe you'll buy lots of things and cant fit when you go back home.also for info the ichi yen(pronounced en in japanese) is the only coin in the world that floats in the water. then the 500 yen is the fanciest of all their coins..according to my friend. in my case i already know how to speak and how to write and their customs  but ive never been there so i just wanna say,.,.good luck.:)
