A type of Indian music?

the kind where someone is only playing a zither and a woman is singing.

i dont know if anyone has seen the movie The Namesake..well its in that.

i would just like to know what that kind of music is called.

The instument is called SITAR. Its used in most of the Indian classical songs and musics. Pandit Ravishankar is the greatest living Sitar player.

It's called Hindustani classical music

and its actually Sitar :)
