Question:

A typical day touring Rome?

We are leaving for Rome this Friday. Has anyone been to Rome in November? Will we be wearing light weight jackets or winter coats? I'm assuming we will be leaving early morning to start the day. Do most people stop back at the hotel for some reason or are you out all day?

  1. i live in rome ...and im an italian boy....winter coats...its ver cluod (not sunny) ...the are a lot of place in rome: l'eur (the lake) colesseo ...via del corso ( street very beutiful near piazza di spagna)and trastevere

  2. I got back from rome 2 days ago. During the day it was in the 20's, I think that's about 70f. Total t-shirt material, but it was nippy some evenings. I was wearing a light jacket and a tee or shirt and my Fiancee was wearing light tops and a mad poncho/blanket thing in the evening and both of us could have done with something a bit thicker. And there's always a reason to stop back at the hotel if you're a couple :-)

  3. I have been to Rome many times and think you should be okay with a light jacket or sweatshirt in November.  I live in Atlanta, Georgia in the US and the weather in Rome is remarkably similar to that.

I usually head back to the hotel just before dinner to rest and clean up before I head out to eat.

  4. I have actually been in Rome in November, and yes a light jacket is sufficient. You won't need winter coats, it's not that cold yet, plus with all the walking you will be warm enough. I imagine if you are with a tour, you will be going back to the hotel in the late afternoon, or early evening. Have fun, Rome is awesome!
