  1. take the moments about the reaction force point of wall...

    angle = x

    T = Tension

    Fx = x component of reaction force at wall

    Fy = y component of reaction force at wall

    Assuming the cable acts at d

    a) Tsinx(d) - Fg(2L) = 0

    T = 2FgL / dsinx

    b) sum of forces in x direction = 0

    Fx - Tcosx = 0

    Fx = Tcosx

    Fx = 2FgLcotx / d

    sum of the force in y direction  = 0

    Fy + Tsinx -Fg = 0

    Fy = Fg - Tsinx

    Fy = Fg - 2FgL / d

    Fy = Fg (1 - 2L/d)
