  1. may be ur bios needs to be updated from the internet coz that could be the only reason of not any recent operating system getting installed.try this

  2. You have probably added a lot of programs which are still present in the Programs Folder and with only a 40GB hard drive, Windows may be having a hard time setting aside enough of a partition to install.  Also, you are running way too low amount of RAM for Win XP.  You are meeting almost the minimum requirements and taxing your computer to keep up.

  3. Probably you have a pirated version of XP and you might have activated updates. The solution is format the hard disk, install the OS. Do not register the product and to h**l with updates.

  4. Repartition Reformat and Reinstall...

  5. OK HERE DO THIS

    INSTALL OS ME

AFTER YOU UPGRADE TO XP FROM WINDOWS ME

    OK GOOD LUCK

  6. here is the step b step procedure for solving ur trouble.

    1) unplug the PC

    2) disconnect all wires from the CPU

    3) carry the CPU to the terrace

    4) kiss your CPU to thank for helping u all these years

    5) throw it down with full force

    6) enjoy the sound of crashing

    7) go to market with fat money packet

    8) buy a new PC

    9) come home and connect all the wires with that CPU

    10) happy new computer

  7. buy a new pc .

  8. try a liveCD distribution of LINUX (like Knoppix); if it works, then probably something happened to your hard-disk. get a new one and save the important data while it still works!

also, watch for changes in the BIOS setup; maybe someone played a dirty trick on you. (try the "load safe values" option, if available).

if your motherboard supports overclocking, see that you have your processor running at it's normal frequency (even better, try to down step it a little! like 1333 instead of 1367 or 1400).

  9. first check your hard disk, try to format throughly, then do the partion then load the windows
