A video like cutting clips together so it looks like people are passing an object between them?

So I'm trying to find an example of that effect where you take little clips of people and they grab something from one side of the screen and bring it across to the other side and it's grabbed by someone else, and then it cuts to another person grabbing it in another location. Does anyone know what I'm taking about? And have a name for it, or a link to a video like it?
