A virus that i have hope fully deleted has disabled my.... ?

Automatic updates on Widows Security (xp home)

How do i get it back,ive tried all the usual control panel-auto updates- options etc

please help if you can

if it was antivirus 2008 or antivirus pro 2009 then the problem is ,

you have allowed it to get too far into your system ,

it will have destroyed some of your core system files.

if it was neither of these then it could have been some other rogue,

i think the only solution is to restore your compo to factory settings

and then get a better sec sys.

If you are sure that you have deleted/expunged the virus why not go to a system restore point prior to the infection.
