i was waiting in line at friendlys take out and a girl wiped some fudge off the cup of the sundae she was making and licked her finger then she put her hand in the sprinkles and nuts and continued to make the sundae. it just so happens that i know who she is because we did a summer college prep program together but we never talked or anything...anyway i told her that was gross and she said OH WELL... i got so mad and told the manager who was standing next to her when she licked her hand and he said they had a rough morning but that what she did was gross. i feel like hes not going to do anything....would you call the corporate office????

  1. Forget and move on. If this annoys you so much, I'd make sure that your health insurance is upgraded because you'll need it when you're older. I'm seeing high blood pressure, headaches, stress and heart attacks.

She was wrong and shouldn't do it, but there're worse things in life. Right?

  2. My coworker had a similar situation at Starbucks, where the barista wiped his nose and then touched the inside of a paper cup.  He quietly called the barista closer to him and asked nicely for a new paper cup.  The boy cooperated and no manager was involved.  If you are upset about the manager that didn't do anything, take it up to the regional or corporate office, or even the local tv station.  Just don't call 911 like the sandwich customer who had no condiments in his sandwich.

  3. You are absolutely correct. I have volunteered for food preparation for over 15 years and that is NOT accepted. My boyfriend and I was talking about how much customer service has came down. It all begins at the managerial position. I would get the manager's name and tell his comment to the corporate headquarters. Totally unacceptable.  .....and don't worry about that little remark from the answerer "there are worse things", he probably does it where he works.

  4. just imagine what they do when you are not looking

sometimes people slip and do something stupid like that but the  second you said something, she should have apologized and and thrown it away and it is even worse that the manager didn't seem to care either. This shows that they have no

concern for sanitation whatsoever. and i would never eat there ever again or let anyone i know eat there.

since you know her you can report her if you are willing to make an enemy for life, one of the worst things you can do to someone is get them in trouble at their job. If it was me I would emphasize my disgust with the manager's lack of concern and never use her name in the complaint. Because in the end I think his actions are far worse because he oversees the operations of the entire restaurant. And should never make excuses for his employees.

  5. I would definitely report this to corporate and I would never go back.  That is totally unacceptable!

  6. As a present waitress now, all I can say is that when you're tight with the manager, they don't get so hard on you if you slip up on something like that. It's kind of like 'yeah, but what do you want me to do?'

  7. WIth no stopping I would say.. Please WASH YOUR HANDS AND REMAKE THAT SUNDAE.. that is unsanitary and I dont want ur saliva in my food. Waiters who cough on plates or pick their nose should be confronted and the manager should be called to the scene with an immediate complaint. It is against the law and unsanitary .. do not accept contaminated food.. no matter who does it.

PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS AND PLEASE GET ME A NEW PLATE , DRINK OR SUNDAE..

  8. Do you know how many germs are in saliva or the human mouth? Yes, I would be calling the corporate office. Shame on the manager. The manager and the employee should both be fired if they think that is acceptable. The employee should have apologized and threw out the sundae. Washed her hands. To justify just shows how ignorant they both are on good hygiene practices. I would not return there.

edit: I can understand the rough morning. We've all had them. But it does not justify what was done. No way. Shame on both of them.

edit: Did she give you a new sundae?  Did you receive an apology? What do you think the manager should do? I would use that as a basis for your complaint. Clearly that employee needs training. The manager might benefit as well. But I still feel that this should be already well known. It's a bit scary that they may not know.

edit: It did not affect you directly? I would still call and voice your concern, especially since she still served it. Wow. That's unacceptable. I guess standards have slipped today. I'm glad that I rarely eat out. Yuck!

  9. Yes

  10. That was gross. I would've called the corporate office and made a complaint. That's just NNNNAAAAASSSSSTTTTYYYYY

  11. yeah that is defo sick!
