A way to find Patent seller?

I have a part I want to buy. Is there any way to find who sells from the patent number?

  1. Do you want to buy the patent rights or the product that is produced under the patent?  It's not clear from your question, so I'll assume you want to buy the product.

    In US patents, the assignee is listed on the first page of the patent.  However, the assignee may not be the owner of the part you want to buy.  For example, the assignee may license the patent to manufacturers that produce and sell the product.  Keep in mind as well that a single part may be covered by multiple patents.

    I think a better approach is to find the manufacturer of the part you want to buy.


  2. Well, you can find out who owns the patent.  You might be able to figure out who is selling the item from that information.  If its a U.S. Patent, to find out who owns it, go to the web page below and enter the patent number in the appropriate box....
