Her and I want to lose some weight together. And keep it off.

But i don't know of any ways.

Like how often should we go to the gym?

She says like 2 a day everyday. And that would kill me!

Also,what about diet?

Like curb calories and no drinking alchol?

Any ideas or motivational things I can do or say?

  1. I would suggest going to the gym, eating more vegetables and please try to lay off the fast food...   "fats, oil and soda" not good!

  2. Don't ever go on a diet. While on a diet your body gets used to low fat food and low carbs if you stop your diet  once you lose whieght and go back to regular foods you bloat.

  3. The best way is to exercise more. I don't mean run 10 miles, but walk more if possible. Stay away from fast food. Drink plenty of water!

    Good luck! :)

  4. Draw up a diet and excersise plan between you and stick to it

  5. Going to the gym three or four times a week for weight lifting would be great, but you don't need to go twice a day.  There are a few common sense things that really do work.

Keeping a food journal really does help.  It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days.  Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer.

Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish.   Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts.  Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.  Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses a day, and more if it is very hot, it you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely. You will begin to see changes in your body.

  6. When  losing  weight,  you should follow the dual course: exercise and

diet  together.  If  you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger

appetite,  which  will  lead  to  increase  of  weight, or muscle grow

underneath  the  fat  layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without

exercising,  you  will  become  flabby  and will have excess skin. For

diet,  go  wheat  free.  No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food

after  7  p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on

your  initial  weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If

you  don't  eat  wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey

cakes,  you  don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your

diet  is  still  balanced.  It  costs  nothing, and you do not have to

calculate  points  or  to  buy special meals or plans. For exercising,

start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the

most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a

lot,  walk  first  or you may have health complications (heart attack,

disjointed  bones and so on) For targeting your problem areas, check up

Exercises.  They  have animated photos, so it's easy to understand how

    to do them. http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/exe...

  7. Go through and clear out your kitchen. Then go shopping for healthier low card stuff. MAKE dinners at home together, not only will you be more conscious of what you're putting in your body it wil be a bonding experience. Go to the gym 3 or foour times a week, focusing on cardio. And make changes in your everyday lives like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking a little further away at the mall, taking the dog out for longer walks, slowly it will just feel more natural, and you both will be looking and feeling better AND BETTER! good luck!!  p.s. They have online support grups with healthy recipes and tips for this sort of thing, so do some more research, you are not alone in this!

  8. My mom and I wanted to do the same thing.   All we did was watch what we were eating, cut back on junk food, and we went for a 1 hour walk every day.           Try this, its not hard and it worked for us.   Good luck :)

  9. try  an  atkins  diet  (  all  protein, no  carbs)

    -----banned  stuff-----------------------------------...

carbs-   cereals,  rice,  bread,  pizza  , sugar, baked goodies

    alcohol

--------------------------------------...    exercise  helps  but   if  u  dont  like it  ,u  dont  need  to!

  10. The no alchol means nothing.

My aunt lost 20 pounds, and she drank beer, but didn't eat anything WHITE and didn't work out. She looks fanmalnal.

    Just dont eat anything white!!

  11. jog every day exercise don't eat so much junk food personally i think diets are bad any way just get outside a lot.
