  1. All of the ways above are a great way to improve it, but they may not work

I know a way to increase your vertical by 8-14 inches guaranteed.

It's called air alert, and I've done 2 weeks and it's already helping, go here to see it:  http://www.airalert.com/airalert.html

It's a DVD and a guide, it really works!

    Hope I helped!

And one thing you should NEVER do is use weights when you jump/run, because when you use weights, you may jump higher, but as soon as you take them off, you lose all but about 2% of what you gained. Always use your own body weight, nothing extra. (And I don't mean use a weight that weighs the same as your body)

  2. Bare feet! Put your feet about half way on a step let you ankles hang off the end. Flex up and down with toes and leg muscles. Do this often.

Wear heavy shoes JUMP OFTEN when exercising and practicing. Wear lighter shoes in front of coach and games

    Jump rope often

    Jump on sand, HELPS ALOT

  3. If you have a tree in your yard, taking a volleyball, or any ball around that size and hanging it with a rope or anything like that. Make sure you hang it higher than you can actually jump. Then jump up and reach for it. Also, if you have a volleyball net, or know a place that does, take tennis balls, do your hitting approach, then throw the tennis ball over the net.

  4. Work out your leg muscles on a machine at the gym (quad press, etc.). Also, try running or biking since those exercises really make your legs work. You might also want to try wall sits.

When I played volleyball back in high school, we used to have to mark a place on the wall that we could barely reach when we jumped and we would have to jump and try to touch it. It's really simple, but it works well.

  5. Plyo's, Squats, Leg exercises with weights.
