hiya (:

i have very curly hair, which i straighten around 3 times a week. straightening my hair is a drag, as it takes me around 30-40 mins to straighten it (as it is so curly). i asked my mum if i could get it permanently straightened and she said no.

so is there another way to make my hair permanently straight?

thankyou (:

PS - i live in the UK

  1. no its impossible because our hair is genetic, it grows like that because thats the way its programmed to and there is no way to change it.

i would advise you to just embrace your curly hair it will save you alot of time and stress and damage to your hair

  2. hmmm the only way i can think of is to have it chemically straightened

but to b honest it would ruin your hair in the long run :S

plus curls are cute so have it curly sometimes :)

  3. the only way is to get born with it. Sorry.

  4. Afraid not :( the only way to get it permanently straightened is to get it chemically straightened.

    No other way :S

  5. try  straightening shampoos found in pharmacys. I use herbal essences dangerously straight and it works well try it or just buy the others. hope this helps =]

  6. i agree w/ the girl w/ the long paragraph & the link about deep conditioning. That is like a relaxing vacation for hair, & the results are marvelous! :] also straightening your hair 3 times a week isn't bad considering most girls do it everyday. you just need to use a heat protectant spray to keep your hair healthy & give it protection for damaging heat. I love Aveda's Brilliant Damage Control.

all the benefits it says are so true! also if you want your hair super smooth, use the Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother.

it is fantastic! like it says, besides smoothing it also protect against heat stylish too, so now you'll have twice the protection!

also if you're going to flat iron, spray the Damage Control, then put in the Smoother then flat iron.

    Good luck!

    :)

  7. go to the grocery story.. they have "relaxers" it will sound better for your mom.. its a little bit easier for your hair but pretty much the same

  8. perm is only way, and that doesn't even last forever just couple of weeks. try your mom again maybe offer to pay half or something. i have naturally straight hair and i love curls. maybe you should embrace your natural hair too.

  9. I saw on T.V. if you pay upwards of a 1000. It will leave your hair straightened for at least 6 months.

  10. of course, you can! i got my hair pernanently staight 2 years ago! i was on my vacation at cambodia (a country in asia) and i got it done. it was so cheap, it was only $25-$45! it's popular over there to get your hair permanently straight! i guess you can do that in the US too, but it's really expensive. i'm not sure about that though. the best thing is to talk to someone who works in a salon and ask them about that. but when you get your hair straight, you have to take care of it too. because when you use too much chemicles and heat to your hair, it damages your hair. and your hair can get really bad. but if you take care of it then it will be fine. deep conditioning your hair is a great way to keep your hair away from being damaged. you should do it 2 times a week. this is how to deep conditionign your hair:

    http://www.essortment.com/all/deepcondti...

and rememeber when you buy a deep conditioner, buy only the ones that say " leave it on for 15-30 mins" because if it says leave on for 5-10 mins then it's just a normal conditioner not a deep conditioner! i deep condition my hair 2 times a week. and striaghtening your hair 3 times a week is really bad. it damages your hair and you can get really ugly hair. use heat protection before you straigten it. but still if you can quit straigten your hair 3 times a week that would be great! if you have really curly hair then when you get a permanentl hair straight treatment, you will still have to go back once a year or so to redo it. but at least it's better than straightening your hair 3 times a week. i know how you feel, it's really annoying to spend time doing that. because i used to do that too! anyways, i hope this helped!

  11. I think a perm is the only option - sorry.

  12. a perm or you could straighten it every day and use CHI spray and buy a CHI straight *************
