I just want to make some jewelry our of Fruit loops and was wondering if there was a fairly cheap way to stiffen it so it wouldn't break. Easily at least.

  1. do you have any clear syrup or glue if so you can soke the cereal in it and it should harden fine and clear if not try lamenating the fruit loops.......that one is probably gonna look better but might not keep the cereal from braking

  2. PVA glue should work.  I've seen someone use chunks of banana that were covered in PVA glue before.  All you need to do is cover the cereal in PVA glue and leave it to dry.  The glue dries clear too.

  3. I would use an epoxy resin to coat the Fruit Loops and then string them on something to hang dry (preferably Beadalon or some other stringing wire - NO THREAD this will make your Fruit Loops stick to it and make them fuzzy in weird places).

With in the first few minutes of coating you might want to giggle/turn the Fruit Loops to make sure that they are not stuck to the wire or each other.

The epoxy resin will probably be the best choice since it will harden and protect the Fruit Loops from deteriorating. You might want to use stale Fruit Loops to make sure they are nice and hard.

Clear Nail Polish might be another option, but I don't think it would be as durable as the epoxy resin.

  4. try varnishing it
