A website showing how big ocean waves are?

Hi, I live in CA and rather far from the beach. Cause of this distance i don't like driving to the beach to find that there aren't any good waves. So do u know of any website that shows the beaches and how high the waves are? tnx. And if its a website that i can understand, not like those highly complicated webs that put up plot graphs and stuff like that i would appreciate it.
