Question:

A week in Dublin?

Hi, I'm spending a week in Dublin with my family at the end of April.

Could you please suggest any interesting places to visit in Ireland?

How can we get there from Dublin (we are not going to rent a car - public transport only)

I would like daily trips because we have already booked the B&B and paid for the room so we can't sleep in other towns/cities.

Thank you very much

  1. Croke Park, Wicklow Jail and Kilmanen Jail are great things to see.

You could go down to Cork and See the Blarney Stone. The myth is I you kiss it you’ll never shut up!

For the scenery I like the Wicklow mountains.--- > http://www.gsi.ie/NR/rdonlyres/6CC9C746-...

Also in Wicklow, are the Sugarloaf mountains. They’re very beautiful too.-- > http://www.lookaroundireland.com/countie...

  2. There is a tour of Dublin service on a hop on hop of bus which is run by Dublin Bus. It is great, it takes you around all the good sights.

  3. have a gander @ this baby!

    enjoy,.

  4. don't worry! to visit a lot of interesting places you have not to go away from there!! In Dublin if you want to relax you can visit the Phoenix park which is the biggest park in Europe and it's a really peacefull and wonderfull place! Or you could start with Dublin zoo (it's been there since 1830) and look the big cats and lions and tigers too!!! Then you could have a look at Dublin Castle (350 years old) and The National Museum of Ireland... in the night if you want to have fun you can go to POD (Place Of Dance). It's an old station in south Dublin but It's a great place! a thousand people can get in! there are three dance floors (the music is usually Dance Techno an Hip Hopwith different DJs. The music is fantastic, the best night is Saturday, that's when the famous DJs paly there (Brian and Meave are my favourite ones!)... these are the most beautiful places you can visit in Dublin... nice to help you!

  5. Take a day trip to Howth.  You catch the DART and it is at the end of the line.  Worth it.  Your kids and you can watch the fish monger feet the seals right there in the harbour.  Way cool.
