  1. D, none of the above.

    Most units of time which we use are based an astronomical cycles, like a year, and a month (loosely).  The week is more of a religious "artifact".  The only astronomical connection I can think of it that the seven days are named for the seven astronical bodies which were known since antiquity.  In latin I think, for instance "Sunday" is pretty obvious, Monday = moonday, see link
