A weekend/weekday in Hanoi? Which is better?

If we are on a tour to Hanoi/Sapa/Halong Bay, would it be better to spend the weekends in Hanoi? Cos i heard that it's more expensive to stay in Sapa in the weekends. Thanks.

there would be lots of people going to sapa and halong  during the weekend. but sapa being big and sparce, you many not feel it. halong bay is rather confined so you may see lots of junks sailing in the bay and millions of people at the jetty.

if you want to get away from it all, go to sapa. it is not so much more expensive but you have to book early. hanoi would be good too. and i would avoid halong bay during weekends.

weekdays , if u go out , its kinda boring

In Hanoi - Sunday Night Market was very special good to shop. Sapa or Halong Bay - just for relax nothing special weekend or weekday. But I propose you to stay over in junk (Halong Bay) very interesting ...... enjoy the meal and overnight in the junk ......
