A win is just round the corner implies http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJG-Sammy-c1382 – Cricket News Update
West Indies skipper, Darren Sammy, is confident of a good show from his boys in the second One-Day International against India and feels that a win is just around the corner for the visitors.
The Caribbean contingent hasn’t won a single match on their excursion of India but with every game they are getting close to beating the hosts. The West Indian outfits nearly got over the finish line in the first ODI at Cuttack,
but the Indian tail-enders somehow clung on for a one wicket win.
Sammy urged his side to develop http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Neil-Killeen-c79132 instincts because it is something they lack, and had they shown aggression in the first ODI, they could have walked away as winners.
“We are definitely looking to win games here. We have showed that we can compete with the best one-day teams in the world. Had we showed killer instincts in the last game, we could have crossed the line. Hopefully, we would come
victorious tomorrow,” said a confident West Indian captain.
The Indian team is without some of their big names, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 have been rested for the series, but even without their star players they are tough opposition to beat at home and the commander of
the Caribbean brigade is well aware of that fact.
Sammy said, “India so far have won the last 10 games at home. When you have a winning run, you always tend to get a way to go over the line.
“We keep getting close. We managed to take India all the way down to the wire, defending a small total. We as a young team need to find a way out whether it's mentally, physically or tactically. I believe in all the guys here.
A win is just round the corner.”
The Men in Blue will look to extend their winning streak at home to 11, while the tourist would be hoping to end their losing run and come to level terms with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in the five match ODI series. The second match of the series will
be played at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on Friday, December 2, 2011.
