A work permit for a teen in californa?

I am 17 years old and I live in californa. i DID NOT have over a 2.0 this semester. I was wondering if I get a job will my work permit require that I have over a 2.0 since I am not in school? what are the work permit requirments?

  1. If you are on summer break, you will still need a work permit to be employeed. Since your GPA was below a 2.0, they will most likely regulate the amount of hours you are able to work. (maybe12-15 a week). If you graduated high school already I don't THINK you even need a work permit...I definatly could be wrong about that one.

    All you need to do is to get a paper form from your local high school, take it to your employer, have them fill it out, return it to the high school so they can make an official form, and bring it to work with you by your 1st day.

  3. You say that you are not in school, does that mean you are on summer vacation or are you done with school. Either way since you are below 18 years of age you need to apply for your work permit with the Superintendent of schools (since school is currently out) during regular school season you obtain it from your High School
