Question:

A year and a half - my eye sty is still there!?

I went to a doctor two times. It doesn't look like a regular sty anymore. It's just there is a red part into my eyelid and 2-3 tiny white points in them. Doctor told me it's too close to my eye so it's better to not move them with surgery. It doesn't hurt but I'm sick of seeing it. It's been a year and a half for God's sake!

Anyone experienced the same?

  1. It sounds more like a chalazion than a stye. A stye is due to an infected lash follicle and is unlikely to have been there for so long and be painless. A chalazion is a build up of the oil in the glands within the eyelid resulting in a red lump that is usually painless. Have you been using warm compression and massaging regularly?This can help shrink it and will prevent new ones from occuring.
