A2 races at Swindon produce exciting results for racing fans
The 480m greyhound races at Swindon Greyhound Stadium have often been known to produce exciting results for the many racing fans who attend each race meeting. The afternoon meeting held
on Monday 8 November was no exception, as the A2 races featured some strong finishes from some great contenders.
In the first A2 race, Attykitt Lane (5-1) had a decent start from trap three, but crowded first later on. However, he would rebound to lead third, and claim the top spot with his 29.62
finish. Dizzy Miss Lizzy (5-1) was left spinning after losing 2¼ lengths. She led to third, and ended up in second place with a time of 29.80.
Calling Mame, the 2-1 favourite in this race, rounded out the top three by taking third place. She held an early pace, but bumped first, resulting in a loss of 1½ lengths and a 29.92 finish.
Fourth place went to Cashen Noel (5-2), who crowded first on the way to a finish of 30.00 that placed him a single length out of the top three.
Brackenstone Cat (5-1) was the fifth place finisher, stumbling at the second bend. Despite that, he finished a shoulder behind fourth place, matching Cashen Noel’s time of 30.00. Petite
Snowei (4-1) finished last after bumping first and crowding third. She went on to finish a ½ length out of fifth place in 30.04.
Hurricane Gold (3-1) was golden in the second A2 race. He always led after a good bounding start from trap five, resulting in a 29.30 finish that gave him first place. Finishing 2 lengths
behind him was 11-4 favourite Cashen Wildcat. She moved slowly away from the pack, but ran on to finish the race in 29.46.
Aintgotaname (7-2) placed third after having crowded second. His time of 29.54 was 1 length behind second place. Pennys Ginger (7-1) held an early pace from the start, but finished in
fourth place. She missed out on top-three contention by just a ½ length with her 29.58 finish.
Fifth place was claimed by Ballyknock Vote (3-1) after he crowded second and third. He lost 3 lengths in the process, and completed the race in 29.82. The sixth and final position belonged
to Landing Hi (7-1), who went wide and badly crowded third. He checked in with a time of 30.06.
