A380 is the biggest airplane. But is it really the safest?

That question will only be answered through time.  The A380 needs to have about 10 years and millions of flight hours behind it to be compared to other airplanes.  Safety is a relative question.  Safest compared to what?  Since it is new and the largest commercial plane flying today we do not know the answer to that question.  That being said, Airbus is owned by many shareholders and corporations. They will do everything in their power and knowledge to make it as safe as possible while still being profitable.

Hard to say, since it hasn't been around long enough to rack up any statistics.  However, it should be one of the safest aircraft generally, as due to its weight and size it is less affected by gusts and turbulence.
