A835 GE Digital Camera video question?

I had an earlier model of the A series of GE cameras before. I saved the videos i shot with the earlier camera on the sd card. now with this newer model, the videos dont even show up, and they dont play. it just says "picture" error. its extremely annoying. you'd think that a newer model would be able to play these. can someone help?
