The cricketer from Pretoria admits that it was not easy for him to concentrate on batting as well keeping at the same time, but the stylish batsman believes that he is able to manage the workload now.
“At first it was tough but I've got into a nice rhythm now,” he said. “Now I feel I understand what my role is. I spend time on keeping and batting in training and I don't feel tired after a day's play. I don't feel tired after a Test
match. It's more a mental thing than anything else.”
While talking about the forthcoming first Test of the two-match series against the Kiwis, De Villiers mentioned that his side loves playing at Cape Town and are confident about beating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BB-McCullum-c1129 and company.
“Playing at Newlands is as special as they come and I'll enjoy this New Year's Test even more," de Villiers added. “We've got a good sense of confidence when we play there. It's almost like we just free up and express ourselves.”
