ABH in Crown court?

My ex partner assulted me headbutting me ripped open my ear and caused various other minor injuries including severe bruising to my breast. He held me at knifepoint saying I was going to die before making me phone people to say goodbye one of who heard what he was saying and is a police witness, the police have lots of pics of my injuries.

He has already appeared before magistrates who would not let him enter a plea and committed to crown court. He has 1 previous for ABH against me 3 weeks prior to this incident he got a caution for this. Would most appreciate it if anyone could tell me what sort of punishment he is looking at.

That sounds terrifying. I believe the maximum sentence is five years for ABH. Given the general rule that five and under is just over half a sentence with good behaviour, I'd guess 3 to serve max. From your description, I hope he blows it in the dock and the Judge makes an example.
