AC Milan's Silvio Berlusconi promises to keep the funds running for the club – Serie A Update
AC Milan's owner Silvio Berlusconi has given his word to the club and supporters that he will continue to invest for Diavolo in the future. The Rossoneri have become the most successful outfit in the world as they have won more trophies than any other outfit.
The reason for the success of the outfit is hidden in the fact that Berlusconi has spent a lot in the past for the Rossoneri and now yet again, the current Prime Minister of Italy has promised to keep the funds running for the club. Talking to the media
recently, Berlusconi said, “My family has invested an average of €50m a season in Milan. That figure was €70m last year and I promise to continue with my costly habit of giving gifts to the Milan fans.”
Rumour was high recently that the Prime Minister is keen to acquire http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, the world class talismanic striker from Real Madrid, but the Milan patron refused the reports and said it might not be possible to find enough funding. It is so because
players like Ronaldo and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, who play for the Spanish outfits, will come with a huge price tag. The Spanish league is filled with rich outfits and to enter bidding race with them would mean to go all out for the Italians.
Berlusconi also seemed to be pleased with the output of the team this season at the Italian top flight as they have finally managed to hold onto their lead at the top after a drought of seven years. The owner appreciated Massimiliano Allegri for being a
good coach and also gave him advice.
Berlusconi said, “He can continue our tradition of great Coaches. He has great technical and human qualities to achieve great results. I’ve seen some good play this season, but not ball possession. There needs to be specific training on this. When I coached
the kids we won all the tournaments and on occasions we passed the ball 20 times in a row. It’s not true that the fans don’t like it.”
The Rossoneri lead the Serie A table with 77 points, holding an eight point lead ahead of the defending champions and their city-rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. Milan, by taking the title this season, would end a five-time Serie A title streak of the Nerazzurri.
