AC Milan apologize to Leonardo and Inter Milan for Gattuso’s disrespectful chanting – Serie A Update
AC Milan have submitted an apology to Inter Milan for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gennaro-Gattuso-c14525’s foul behaviour on Saturday. The midfielder was found guilty of chanting alongside the Rossoneri fans at Stadio Olimpico in Rome; Milan fans were chanting anti-Leonardo slogans and Gennaro
Gattuso joined suit.
The midfielder, who claims it to be an act of appreciation towards the fans, was seen degrading the former Diavolo boss when the team and the fans were celebrating the Serie A 2010/11 triumph. AC Milan secured the title against AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in Rome after a hard-fought
0-0 draw.
The Rossoneri Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, had to react fast in order to apply damage limitation tactics. Galliani’s official statement read:
“As a club, I say sorry to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, President Massimo Moratti and Leonardo, a man I love as a friend.”
The apology came after Galliani met the Italian International at the club’s headquarters on Thursday to discuss the event. The Vice-President claimed that he has warned Gattuso for his behaviour and said that he has been notified by the management.
“I gave Rino a shampoo,” the official added. “He knows what I said to him, but I don’t like to reveal private matters with others. Nevertheless, I told Gattuso that he made a mistake so let us now forget about this whole incident.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 was also offended by this incident and referred to it as lack of discipline and also demanded an apology. The AC Milan head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, also criticised the midfielder for his careless behaviour and claimed that his antics, having
just won the Scudetto, were unnecessary.
Gattuso’s poor relationship with the Inter Milan boss, while Leonardo was in charge of the Rossoneri, is being tipped as the reason behind the most recent incident. However, Leonardo left San Siro in December to join city rivals Inter Milan.
