AC Milan confirm Ronaldinho will leave in January
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Ronaldinho will depart from the San Siro in the coming January transfer window.
After meeting with Ronaldinho’s brother and agent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 de Assis, Galliani was reported by Sky Sports as saying, “We mutually agreed that Ronaldinho will leave Milan in January. Now he had no desire to train because he no longer
felt he was a part of the project. Now he will return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 and be sold. To who? Whoever offers the most money.”
Ronaldinho joined AC Milan after transferring from Barcelona for a reported fee of €18.5m back in 2008. The 30-year-old left winger finished his first season at the San Siro with 10 goals to his credit out of 32 matches, having
struggled with fitness after a good start to the season. His second season did not begin well, but he soon rediscovered his form and became arguably the Rossoneri’s best player in the season.
This season, however, Ronaldinho has not been seen on the field very much. He has faced stiff competition to make the playing eleven after the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 and Robinho. Moreover, AC Milan has this month signed
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 from Sampdoria, another signal that there is no room left for Ronaldinho on Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
Overall, in three seasons at the San Siro, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldinho-c31733 has made 82 appearances in which he has scored 25 times and assisted 28 times.
The former European Footballer of the Year has attracted interest from Brazilian clubs, and Galliani has said he will not be sold for less than €8m.
