The Rossoneri chief is happy with his current squad; backs AC Milan for success and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the Ballon d’Or.
AC Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has laughed off talks linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Italian Champions.
Rossoneri patron, Silvio Berlusconi, revealed in a recent interview that he would love to sign the Portuguese international for a reasonable price in the future.
However, Galliani has brushed aside the talks, insisting that the chief was only joking to the media. The 67-year-old insists that he does not dream about signing the Real Madrid star, and is content with what he has got.
While talking to the reporters, Galliani said:
“President Silvio Berlusconi was only joking and I was surprised that his words received so much prominence. Nevertheless, I don’t dream about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 every night…”
When asked about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or this season, Galliani believes that it is totally dependent on what AC Milan achieve during the ongoing season. He insisted that the award is given to the
top player of the team which wins the major trophies.
“The Golden Ball often goes to the best player from a winning team. Ibrahimovic will have to win something important for Milan first and then he may be a candidate for the Ballon d’Or.”
The Italian entrepreneur went onto praise the depth and quality of the Diavolo squad, insisting that Milan are the best team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. The oil baron is delighted to see his team sitting comfortably at the top of the Serie A standings,
but he believes that the fight is still not over.
“We think we have the best squad in Italy. There is a normal rivalry between us and Juventus. Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 and Juventus have almost always been fighting for the major honours." Added the Italian businessman
Milan are on course to win the treble this season, as they are in the quarter-finals of Uefa Champions League, semi-finals of Coppa Italia and top of the Serie A standings.
The Italian Champions will face Parma in their next game on Saturday, March 17.
