The San Siro outfit have gone on to state that there are no clear cut favourites in the group they have been pitted in the UEFA Champions League for this season.
Many have stated that the Rossoneri outfit have been dealt with an easy group in the upcoming group stages of the Champions League. However, the club director, Umberto Gandini, has gone on to state that is not the case and they have been dealt with a well
balanced group stage.
The Diavolo were amongst the top seeds of the Champions League, which meant that the club would not have faced the possibilities of having clashes with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Bayern Munich, etc.
And whereas the other teams have had to face the possibility of very tricky groups, Milan do not have any such qualms. Gandini was talking to Sky Sport Italia and during his interview he went on to state that the club had always given their in all competitions,
and stated that all the teams that compete in the Champions League do so because they are Champions, so there is no clear favourite, anywhere.
The Rossoneri will be facing off the likes of the Belgian outfit, Anderlecht, Russian side, Zenit St Petersburg, and the Spanish outfit, Malaga. These four teams form Group C of the UEFA Champions League.
He was quoted to have said:
“We have learned never to take anything for granted, especially in the Champions League. This looks like a very balanced group, as the other teams are all more or less on a similar level.”
He praised http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti’s side and said that they look like causing trouble to them, and also reserved special commendation for the feats of Malaga, who finished fourth in the Spanish Primera Liga.
He went on to state:
“Milan are a squad who need to gain self-confidence and these types of opponents could help the squad to grow. We must face the challenges with the right attitude.”
The so called group of death includes Real Madrid, Manchester City, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund. All Champions of their respective leagues.
