AC Milan midfielder, Clarence Seedorf, has stated that he is not sure if he will stay at the club next season despite a meeting with club vice-president http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Botafogo-c38671
interested in signing his services.
Seedorf’s contract with the Milan giants expires in the summer and there are reports that the veteran will not be offered a new contract by the club. There is wide speculation that he will end up in Brazil next year despite interest from Manchester City.
The Dutchman claimed that his meeting with Galliani went very well. He revealed that nothing has been decided as yet and the decision will be made in the next few days. He insisted that his side needs to win next week against Udinese to end the season on
a high, and contract discussions will commence only after that.
“Today’s meeting went well. I don’t know if I will stay at Milan next season, but it was a very friendly meeting and we’ll talk again next week. We want to end the season with a victory against Udinese first, then we’ll discuss it,” the 35-year old was quoted
in an interview.
The former Ajax and Real Madrid man said that Milan will always remain in his heart even if he leaves and that he has a very good relation with both the President Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani. He also played down rumours that he had already met
the directors of Brazilian side, Botafogo.
“My rapport with Milan will be good, even if we no longer work together. After all, we have always got along well, as President Silvio Berlusconi and Galliani expressed words of affection towards me. I have not met with any Botafogo directors personally.
Maybe someone else did on my behalf,” he concluded.
Clarence Seedorf has won two Serie A titles and two UEFA Champions League titles in his nine seasons with Rossoneri. The Dutchman has also won the Champions league with Ajax and Real Madrid in his glittering career.
