The Rossoneri manager urges the team to forget Catania slip and concentrate on return-leg of the UEFA Champions League; insists the battle for Scudetto will extent till the end.
Massimiliano Allegri has implored the team to come out of the disappointment of the dropped points against Catania, and insists that the second-leg of the UEFA Champion’s League quarter-finals tie against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 should be their lone focus.
The Rossoneri’s last league game against the Sicilians ended in a 1-1 stalemate, which when combined with Juventus’s 3-0 promising win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, saw the champion’s lead shrink to just two points in the run to the Scudetto.
However, the Diavolo are set to play the European champions on Tuesday, and the coach has asked the players to put everything else out of their mind. The manager insisted that it is useless to cry over spilled milk, and the team should look ahead on how
to conquer Camp Nou, and reach the semi-final of the Champions League. He insisted that it was about time to shelf the domestic battle with Juventus over the Scudetto for some time.
While talking to AC Milan’s official website, the tactician said:
“The team must not think about the mistakes made in Catania,” Allegri declared to Milan’s official website. We go to Barcelona to play a game for a place in the semi-finals, so the players will have to think about the Champions League now. The Scudetto can
wait for a few days.”
