AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has still not grounded his dreams of signing the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 international Cristiano Ronaldo.
Berlusconi revealed that Milan would be introducing some other big names into their squad for the new 2011-12 season but Ronaldo remains a top priority of the club’s supremo.
The 26-year-old currently plays for a Spanish club, Real Madrid, after joining from an English Premier League side Manchester United in 2009. The Milan owner revealed that it was his dream of watching the winger playing in Italy and he would not back off
until the last minute to sign the Portuguese.
Berlusconi said, “Cristiano to AC Milan? Everyone has dreams and sometimes they turn into reality,” said the Italian prime minister. “If we win the Italian championship [this season], then in the summer we will sign one or two champions. If we were to add
Ronaldo to our squad, then I think everyone [at the club] would be pleased.”
Since landing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, Ronaldo has made a name for himself and has earned a lot of respect amongst the Los Blancos faithful. He signed for a world-record transfer fee of 80 million pounds and since then has made a massive impact at Santiago Bernabeu. By
the look of things, it appears that the former Manchester United man does not have any plans to move out of Spain any sooner.
Berlusconi also commented upon the Serie A title race saying that AC Milan would decide their own fate as the season is drawing to a close.
He did not rule out the possibility for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan to win the Scudetto but showed firm belief upon his Rossoneri outfit. “They [Inter and Napoli] both are formidable opponents, but AC Milan have destiny in their own hands,” he added.
AC Milan are currently on top of the Serie A table with 68 points, three clear of the second placed Napoli. Inter, on the other hand are five points adrift of their rivals with just six games remaining in the season.
