AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be able to take any part in their upcoming game against City rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan despite having his ban reduced.
The on loan striker from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Rossi-c23739 during their 1-1 draw against Bari on 13 March, 2011.
The striker has already served a one-match suspension in a game against Palermo, which Milan lost 0-1.
The Rossoneri appeal for the reduction of Ibrahimovic’s ban was entertained in a positive manner and the Court of Federal Justice reduced it to two matches. The officials and the team management seemed relieved at this step however, the striker will have
to sit out of the game against their title rivals, Inter Milan.
Ibrahimovic seemed pretty disappointed at the decision and was apologetic towards his teammates and fans. The striker was expected to play against the Nerazzurri but was forced to delay his comeback by the Court.
The 29-year-old would now play against Fiorentina on Sunday, 10 April.
AC Milan are currently at the top of the Serie A table with 62 points and are just 2 points clear of the second placed Inter Milan. The upcoming clash between the two city rivals is being considered as the title decider which will be played on Saturday,
2 April, 2011.
The striker joined the Italian side on loan from the Spanish giants, Barcelona in 2010. Since then, he has appeared 33 times for the Rossoneri, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. He also has 12 assists to go along with his goals.
The team management seemed content with the Court decision and now hopes that the Swedish striker can turn the tides once again in favour of AC Milan once he returns to the side.
