The Rossoneri are keen on signing the French defender and have submitted an initial offer to Montpellier Herault who are not so keen to let go of their team captain
Last night, while talking to the media, Montpellier Herault captain, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa said a few things that have posed a major question mark on his future at the club.
“I’m here, but with a question mark. You never know. There are offers that you cannot refuse. For example, if a club comes with a project that is appropriate and interesting along with seven or eight million, I would like that.”
This was what Yanga-Mbiwa had said to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Football last night. Although the player has no reservations in staying with the French champions, a good proposal will be hard to resist for a player who is being heralded as the next Lilian Thuram.
According on L’Equipe, Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan, who have been keeping a close eye on the talented defender for quite some time, have sent a concrete first offer to Herault.
Reports claim that the San Siro giants have offered Louis Nicollin 6.5 million euros for the defender. The amount is certainly a good one for a player whose contract expires in less than a year (June 2013). Last summer, it was LOSC Lille who had offered
the club the same amount. However, the native of Bangui made a wise decision by choosing to stay at the club.
However, this time around, it appears that the club president, Loulou Nicollin is unwilling to let go of his star player. The Montpellier supremo has proven to be an uncompromising dealer and wants AC Milan to pay at least 42 million euros for Mapou – an
amount which is exactly what Milan received when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 was sold to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Loulou Nicollin is adamant that the player will be playing in the Champions League for his club next season even if his contract expires next season.
“I will not chase a guy to replace him. So, he will automatically stay a year longer with us. Even if he goes at the end of his contract, it does not matter. Who cares? Not me!”
Already, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Congre has been recruited by Rene Girard so Nicollin might reconsider his stance and come up with something different in the next few days.
