The Italian giants AC Milan seem to make a right move of trying to recruit Essien as many of Milan’s midfielders including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275 are expected to depart the team because of their expiring contracts. Reports suggest
that AC Milan will not offer any contract extensions to the trio.
The 28-year-old Essien joined Chelsea in August 2005 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 and so far, the midfielder has made more than 150 appearances for the Blues. Essien has a contract with the Blues until 2015, but his place is now under a minute threat after he
has struggled to overcome his constant injury crisis which started two years back.
There are some rumours which suggest that Chelsea are no more interested in retaining the Ghanaian as they believe they have found a perfect replacement in the shape of Josh McEachran. However, Essien’s agent has already dismissed his links with the Serie
A League toppers AC Milan.
Essien’s agent, Fabien Piveteau while claiming that his client will not leave Chelsea to become a part of the Italian giants said, “There is nothing true. I have not had any contact with Milan, and the player is happy with Chelsea where he intends to stay
for the next three years. Everyone knows he is happy with Chelsea, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are happy with him.”
Chelsea, who are getting ready for their most crucial fixture of the season against Manchester United this weekend to earn a top spot in the Premier League standings, would want AC Milan to come up with a massive £25 million bid to have a chance of luring
him to Italy.
Despite the fact that Chelsea are planning to dislodge some of their old horses, Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has shown a firm faith in the midfielder who has performed well of late after recovering from the injury.
It would not be an easy task for AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri to sign the former Bastia and Lyon player Essien from Chelsea, as Carlo Ancelotti will think it many times to offload a player who has remained a part of Chelsea’s English Premier League
winning squads in 2006 and 2010.
Essien, who is famous for his physical dominance and tough tackling, has also helped Chelsea in winning them three FA Cup titles and one Football League Cup.
