was on hand to clear the pass away as Napoli survived another goal mouth scare.
In the 27th minute, Napoli appealed for a penalty kick as Edison Cavani went down inside the A.C Milan penalty area from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903’s tackle but the replays showed that it was in fact the Napoli striker who was at fault as he was tugging onto
Silva’s shirt.
By the 30th minute mark, Napoli started to play their way back into the match as they embarked on a counter attack of their own but it was easily halted by Milan’s goalkeeper, Abate, who held onto Maggio’s cross from the right hand side of A.C
Milan’s defense.
The visitors became well accustomed to Milan’s passing game and as a result they started to flood the midfield area to deny the likes of Gattuso and Flamini any time on the ball. This prompted mistakes from the Rossoneri midfield as Napoli gathered control
of the ball.
In the 32nd minute, it was Ibrahimovic who played in Flamini but the Swedish striker’s left footed shot was blocked by Dossena as the score line remained at 0-0.
In the 35th minute, Milan had a brilliant chance to open the scoring as Van Bommel was played in by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 but his shot was bravely blocked by Aronica.
Milan was on the offensive yet again in the 38th minute. This time the ball was carried forward by Jankulovski. The left back interrupted a pass which was intended for Dossena. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 defender played it to Robinho whose eventual through
ball to Pato was keenly intercepted by Cannavaro.
In the 37th minute of the match, Milan was awarded a free kick near the half way line. It was Thiago Silva who took the free kick but his lofted pass into the Napoli penalty area was too powerful as the ball went out of play for a Napoli goal
kick.
In the 39th minute, Milan almost found a break though once again. This time Ibrahimovic played in Flamini but the Napoli goalkeeper, De Sanctis, came out to tip the ball away at the feet of the former Arsenal player. However, the ball ended up
at Pato’s feet whose eventual shot, albeit weak, was stopped on the goal line by Cannavaro as Napoli lived to fight another day.
In the 42nd minute of the match, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 was booked by the referee as he reacted to Cannavaro’s tackle on the half way line by pushing the veteran Italian defender in the face. Finally the half came to an end after a full 45 minutes of
play as the score line rested at 0-0.
