Napoli found it hard to get out of their defensive mindset in the second half. With the score at 1-0, Milan pushed onwards without any fear of a counter attack thanks to their midfield muscle in shape of Gattuso and Van Bommel alongside Flamini. Milan totally
dominated the second half but the visitors were kept in the match thanks to the brilliant goal keeping of De Sanctis.
In the 67th minute, Milan was awarded a free kick near the touch line on the right hand side of the field because of a bad foul on Kevin Prince Boateng.  http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 took the free kick but it was a disappointing set piece by the Brazilian starlet
as the ball was easily cleared by Dossena.
In the 70th minute, Mathew Flamini tried his luck on goal from inside the Napoli penalty area but the Frenchman’s shot just missed the target by a few inches as the referee pointed towards a Napoli goal kick.
Near the 71st minute mark, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 built up a rare attack as Maggio crossed the ball into the A.C Milan penalty area. This time Cavani’s header was well wide off the mark as the score line remained at 1-0.
In the 73rd minute, Napoli’s midfielder, Gargano, was booked by the referee for his foul on Kevin Prince Boateng as frustration started to creep into Napoli’s body language. However, the ensuing set piece from Pato was wayward once again as the
referee awarded Napoli a goal kick.
In the 75th minute, Emmanuelson came on for Jankulovski at the left back position for A.C Milan as the veteran defender was beginning to tire for the home side. It was a good substitution by Allegri as it allowed Milan to maintain their natural
width down the left hand side with Emmanuelson’s persistent runs on the wing.
In the 77th minute, Milan finally got their second goal of the match.
It was Pato who played a finely timed pass through to Kevin Prince Boateng as the midfielder made a late run into Napoli’s penalty area. The Ghanaian playmaker didn’t make any mistake with his finishing as he slotted the ball past De Sanctis to give his
team a two goal lead as the score line reached 2-0 in favour of the home side.
Following the second goal, Pato got in on the scoring fun as he led an A.C Milan counter attack and curled a beautiful shot past the despairing Napoli goalkeeper into the top corner of the net to give Milan a three goal lead at the San Siro stadium.
In the 84th minute, Yebda replaced Gargano in Napoli’s midfield but it was a case of too little too late for the visiting side as the match finally came to a conclusion with the full time score:

A.C Milan 3 – Napoli 0.
